Inspiration of the Alluring Vase
In the hormonal fog of my late teens I often found myself blatantly staring when a pretty woman walked towards me. Usually the woman would pass by me, seemingly oblivious to my gaze. On a few rare occasions she would walk by, stop, look back over her shoulder and smile deliberately! That rare flirtatious glance is the inspiration behind the Alluring Vase.

The Alluring Vase is hand thrown and altered (while still wet) on the potter’s wheel from a stoneware clay. It is subsequently high fired in flambé glazes until the clay is vitrified. It is signed and dated by the artist.
